31,441 VGF cardholders to get rice in Rangamati

The government has allocated 314.41 tonnes of rice under special Vulnerable Group Feeding (VGF) programme for the poor people of Rangamati hill district on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr. Rangamati District Relief Office sources said over 31,441 VGF cardholders under 10 upazilas and two municipalities of the district will get the rice before holy Eid-ul-Fitr. Each VGF cardholder will get 10-kg of rice, the sources said. District Relief and Rehabilitation Officer of Rangamati Bishwanath Mazumder said that the Ministry of Food and Disaster Management has allocated the rice for the poor families, according to BSS.
