32 held while going to India illegally

At east 32 Bangladesh nationals have been arrested in Jessore district on their way to enter India illegally. Border Guard Battalion (BGB) personnel rounded up the 32, including women and children, at a field at Benapole border under Sarsa Upazila on Wednesday evening. Among the arrestees, nine are women, six children and 17 men. BGB 23 battalion’s Putkhali camp in-charge Farid Uddin said being tipped off, a team of the border guards conducted a raid at Balur Math and held the 32 who hailed from different upazilas of Narail and Faridpur districts. A case was filed and the detainees were handed over to Benapole Port Police Station.
