32 question sets to combat leak

The government has decided to prepare 32 sets of question papers for every subject in public examinations to combat leaks. ‘We’ll prepare 32 sets of question papers in public examinations. The students have to study everything (to answer them) even if a question paper were leaked,’ Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid has said an inter-ministerial meeting. At present, four sets of question papers are prepared for each subject in public exams. Allegations of question paper leak arose from the beginning of this year’s Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) exams. The authorities conducted the exam of the English second paper twice amid the allegations. The minister said the system of preparing, printing and preserving question papers for public exams were being changed in view of the several cases leaks. He said a committee will be formed comprising the stakeholders to supervise question paper preparation. The committee can monitor different stages of question paper preparation through random checks. Officials from the education, home and public administration ministries, cabinet division, Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education, education boards, and law enforcement agencies were present at the meeting, according to a news agency.
