320 flats, 207 plots worth Tk 3.87b sold in REHAB Fair

A total of 320 flats and 207 plots worth Tk 3.87 billion were sold in the REHAB Fair 2014 which concluded Monday.
The realtors also got commitment from buyers for purchasing flats, plots and commercial space worth Tk 5.22 billion, the Real Estate and Housing Association of Bangladesh (REHAB) sources said.
"We have got good response from the fair. We got booking for 15 flats and we are expecting more in last two hours," Amin Mohammad Foundation team leader for marketing and sales Md Rabiul Islam told the FE.
He said: "We have response from our existing clients and their recommended customers. We have lots of enquiries and we are hopeful that after the fair, we will get feedback."
Meanwhile, Madina Developments Ltd assistant general manager for marketing and sales Md Syeed Hossain Mallik said: "We have participated in the fair as a part of our promotional activities and we have got two bookings during the fair."
 "We have got a good number of enquiries and are hopeful to get positive response from clients," Mr Mallik said.
REHAB general secretary Md Wahiduzzaman said: "We are happy as we have got good response from the visitors' side as most of them are really interested to buy flats and plots."
The formal closing ceremony will be held on April 3 at 7:00 pm at the Bangabandhu International Conference Centre.
Housing and Public Works Minister Mosharraf Hossain and Housing and Public Works Secretary (in-charge) Md Golam Rabbani are expected to attend the REHAB Fair 2014 closing ceremony as chief guest and special guest respectively.  
The realtors offered different types of discounts and gifts like car, one bhori gold jewellery, laptop, refrigerator, dinner set and others.
There were 155 stalls in the fair. Among these, 141 real estate companies, 14 construction material making companies and non-banking financial institutions took part in the fair.
