325 polling centres found risky in Noakhali

NOAKHALI, Dec 26 (BSS): Almost half of the polling centres in all the six constituencies of Noakhali district have been identified as risky.
According to the election office sources here Friday, as many as 325 polling centres were found vulnerable out of the total 623 being set up in the district for the upcoming election schedule for December 29.
Of the total risky polling centres, 68 are in Noakhali- 1 (Chatkhil- Sonaimuri) constituency, 37 in Noakhali-2 (Senbag- Sonaimuri) constituency, 61 in Noakhali-3 (Begumganj) constituency, 42 in Noakhali-4 (Sadar- Subornachar) constituency, 93 in Noakhali-5 (Companiganj- Kabirhat and part of Sadar Upazila) constituency and 24 polling centres in Noakhali-6 (Hatiya) constituency.
The administration is taking special security measures to ensure safety in 325 risky centres, the sources said.
Meanwhile, training of the presiding, assistant presiding and polling officers has been completed to ensure smooth casting of votes.
