35 held for suspected militancy links

COX'S BAZAR, Nov 13 (BSS): The police arrested 35 people, including four women, on suspicion of militancy links from a hotel at Kalatoli in the district today (Saturday).
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Sadar police station M Shajahan said on secrete information the police conducted a drive at the residential hotel and arrested them, while they were holding a secret meeting.
The arrested persons said they were taking part in a training programme organised by Wami, an NGO. Wami is allegedly backed by the Jama'at-e-Islami.
