35 injured over land dispute in Pabna

PABNA, Apr 4: At least 35 people were injured in series of clash over harvesting wheat at Ghughudah village in Santhia Upazila of Pabna Sunday noon. The clash occurred between Noor Mohammad and Abdul Kuddus of the village over harvesting wheat on a piece of disputed land of the village. Police and the locals said that Noor Mohammad along with his men went to harvest wheat to their inherited land. But Abdul Kuddus along with his associates reached the spot and claimed the possession of the land. The bargaining over possessing the disputed land sparked the serious clashes in two groups. Both groups clashed with lethal weapons that left 35 people injured. Eight of the injured, were admitted to Santhia upazila health complex in a critical condition. They are Noor Ali (60), Shahid Islalm (24), Baher Ali (25), Nurul Islam (30), Babul Islalm (25), Ferdouse Hossain (45), Mohammad Imran (16), Abdul Latif (32).
