36 doctors join Barguna health services

BARGUNA, Sept 17 (BSS): A total of 36 new doctors have joined their services at six upazilas of the district recently to provide medical services to the inhabitants of the areas, Health Department sources said.
Each upazila got six doctors. People of the district feel relieved as each upazila of the district has been provided with physicians for ensuring their proper medical care, said Advocate Abdul Kader, President of Nagorik Parisad.
The strength of physicians in the district now stands at 60. So long, only 24 physicians were working in health complexes at six upazilas of the district against 141 sanctioned posts of doctor.
