37 judges, 101 staff of subordinate courts infected with Covid-19

A total of 37 judges and 101 staff of subordinate courts and 38 employees of the Supreme Court were infected with Covid-19 until Monday (June 29).
They were infected with the coronavirus pandemic while working for the virtual court as of Monday, said Md Saifur Rahman, special officer of Bangladesh Supreme Court (SC).
Of the judges, 10 from the lower courts have already recovered, the SC spokesman said.
The SC has requested the District Judges of the districts concerned to take necessary steps for the treatment of the virus infected judges and staff.
They are being kept in constant touch with the Bangladesh Supreme Court and the Chief Justice of Bangladesh is being informed from time to time.
A five-member committee headed by the Registrar General of the Supreme Court has been constituted for the apex court judges 'Covid-19 treatment.
In addition, another five-member committee led by the Registrar of the High Court Division of the Supreme Court of Bangladesh is now busy on full-time duty to provide overall help for the lower court judges regarding the coronavirus treatment.
