372 homeless Chuadanga families get houses

CHUADANGA, Nov 03 (BSS): A total of 372 homeless families have got new houses in Jibannagar upazila of the district.
"The houses were built in seven unions and one pourasabha of the upazila through the Prime Minister's Office for providing accommodation to 372 homeless families," Jibannagar Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Salim Reza told the news agency.
"Every house with concrete floor was built at a cost of Tk 0.1 million. There is also have sanitary latrines," he said.
Raza said the list of homeless families has been prepared by local public representatives.
Abdul Hi, a day laborer, expressed his satisfaction and gratitude to the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina after getting the house saying "It is impossible for me to build a house after expending my family expenses".
The government has undertaken massive programmes to bring all people under housing facility. As part of the programs the homeless people of the upazila got the houses, UNO said.
