388 bottles Phensidyl recovered: 2 held

Members of Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) arrested two alleged drug peddlers along with 388 bottles of Phensidyl at Jamalpur village at Sadar upazila Joypurhat on Tuesday. The arrestees were identified as Toiyab Ali, 29, son of Golam Mostafa, a resident of Ratanpur village in Panchbibi upazila, and Shafiqul Islam, 33, son of Makbul Hossain, a resident of Raipur village in the same upazila. Major Abdur Rahim, commanding officer of Rab-5, said on secret information, a Rab team conducted a drive and arrested the duo. The elite force also recovered 388 bottles of the contraband drug from their possession. Rab handed over them to Sadar Police Station, according to UNB.
