3.8kg gold seized at Shahjalal: 1 held

Customs Intelligence officials seized 3.8 kilograms (kg) of gold at Hazrat Shahjalal (R) International Airport on Saturday. They also arrested a man – Abhishek, hailing from Munshiganj district – in this connection. Sources the airport said Abhishek landed at the airport from a flight of Malaysian Airlines around 11:30am. Suspecting his movement, the customs officials challenged him and recovered 3.8 kgs of gold after searching the pockets of his shirt and trouser, according to a news agency.
