3rd nat\\\'l debate competition begins at RU

A 2-day long 3rd national debate competition has got underway at Rajshahi University (RU) campus. Business Studies Faculty Debating Forum (BFDF), a renowned students’ debating organisation on RU campus, organised the programme. RU Vice Chancellor Prof Muhmmad Mizanudiin inaugurated the programme at the university dean’s complex while Ananda Sangker Roy Chowdhury, the chief executive member of BFDF, presided over it. A total of 32 debating groups from 32 public and private universities of Bangladesh, including Rajshahi University, Dhaka University, Chittagang University, Jahangirnagar University and Khulna University, are participating in the competition. On the first day (Friday), first and second round and quarter final debate sessions were held at Shiraji Bhaban, Rabindra Bhaban, Rahmatunnesa hall, Begum Rokeya hall and Deans’ Complex conference room respectively. On the second day (Saturday), a colourful rally on the campus will be brought out from the Senate Building area at 9am, according to a news agency.
