3rd round of Nat’l Cricket League begins today

The 3rd round of the two-tier National Cricket League begins today (Monday) at different zonal venues across the country, reports UNB.
League leader Rajshahi Division will play hosts Barishal Division at Barishal Divisional Stadium while Khulna Division will encounter Rangpur Division at the Sheikh Abu Naser Stadium in Khulna in Tier-1 matches.
In Tier-2, League leader Dhaka Metropolis team will take on Chattogram Division at Shaheed Chandu Stadium in Bogura while Dhaka Division will face lowly Sylhet Division at the Academy ground of the Sheikh Kamal International Cricket Stadium in Cox's Bazar.
On completion of the two Tier-1 matches, Rajshahi Division dominated the League securing 9.48 points with any win and loss while Khulna Division followed them with 6.41 points without any win and loss.
After the two Tier-2 matches, Dhaka Metropolis team are leading the points table collecting 14.75 points with one win and a draw while Dhaka Division followed them with 11.50 points also with one win and a draw.
All the four 2nd round matches of four-day National Cricket League (NCL) ended in draw on the 4th and final day due to drizzling and inclement weather at the zonal venues across the country on Thursday.
The match between Sylhet Division and Chattogram Division was not held after the first day's (Monday) play due to rain in Cox's Bazar.
In the remaining three 2nd round NCL matches, not a single ball was bowled on the 4th and final day (Thursday) to settle for draw due to inclement weather following the influences of cyclone Titli.
