4 arrested with firearms in Chittagong

CHITTAGONG, May 4 (UNB) : Police in a drive arrested four people along with firearms, mobile phone sets and cash from Tannery Bottala Mazar area under Bayezid Thana in the city Tuesday night. Acting on secret information, police in the guise of arms buyer arrested gunrunner Iqbal along with his three cohorts and recovered four guns, 34 mobile phone sets and Tk 0.1million in cash from their possession. Bayezid thana officer-in-charge Mohiuddin Selim said they will conduct more raids in different areas of the port city along with the arrested men to nab their other accomplices.
