4 BD Hajj pilgrims pass away in S Arabia

Four Bangladesh Hajj pilgrims, including a woman, have died in Saudi Arabia since September 1, the Ministry of Religious Affairs said in Dhaka on Tuesday. This year, the first batch of Hajj pilgrims left Dhaka for Jeddah of Saudi Arabia by a special Hajj flight of Biman on August 27. After the first batch of Bangladeshi pilgrims reached Saudi Arabia, a total of four Bangladesh pilgrims died there. Of the deceased, Sahab Uddin Mia, 69, of Patira, Khilkhet, passed away on Monday. Bangladesh Hajj Management Portal of the ministry also said Mohammad Shahjahan Sikder of Masempur Dhopa Bari of Pirojpur district died on September 6. Two other pilgrims who passed away are Abdul Salam of Pena Pushkarani of Feni district and Mosammat Masuda Khatun, 82, of Ramchandrapur of Chapainawabganj district, according to private TV channels.
