4 brick-kiln workers killed in road crash

Four brick-kiln workers were killed and 30 others injured in a collision between a truck carrying them and a pickup on Charjabbar-Sonapur road in Uttar Wapda area of Subarnachar upazila of Noakhali on Tuesday night. The identities of the deceased could not be known yet. Police said the Chittagong-bound truck carrying about 50 brick-kiln workers collided head-on with the pickup around 8:30pm, leaving two dead on the spot and 32 others injured. The injured were rushed to Noakhali Medical College Hospital where duty doctors declared two of them dead. The condition of two more workers was stated to be critical at the hospital, according to a news agency.
