4-day orientation course for new MPs from Sunday

Thursday, 27 August 2009

A four-day orientation course on 'Rules of Procedure' for the newly-elected Members of Parliament (MPs) will begin Sunday to equip them with hands-on knowledge so they can play a more active role in the parliamentary proceedings.
Jatiya Sangsad Secretariat and UNDP have jointly organised the programme, to be inaugurated by Speaker Abdul Hamid Advocate, reports UNB.
The programme will be held in oath room of the Parliament from 10:30am to 2:15pm each day.
Forty of the newly elected MPs will attend the session.
