4 DU reporters get 'Sufia Ahmed Medal'

Four reporters of Dhaka University (DU) were awarded 'National Prof Sufia Ahmed Medal-2007', introduced by DU Alumni Association (DUAA), at a function at the university's senate building Wednesday.
DUAA presented the medals to the winners for their best reports on the DU campus in 2007.
Iqbal Hossain of the Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha (BSS) won the best reporter award in English journalism and Nazmul Hossain of Channel I got the best reporter award in electronic media. The best Bangla reporter awards (print media) went to Sidur Rahman of the Ittefaq and Soliman Tosar of the Manabzamin.
DUAA also held a view-exchange meeting with eminent personalities of the mass media on the occasion.
DU Vice-Chancellor SMA Faiz, DUAA President Syed Manzur Elahi, among others, exchanged their views at the meeting.
