4 fined for selling formalin-tainted mangoes

A mobile court in Barisal on Wednesday fined four mango traders Tk 25,000 each at a fruit wholesale market on Port Road area of the city for selling formalin-tainted fruits. Mangoes mixed with toxic chemical of four wholesalers were also destroyed during the drive. During its drive, the mobile court conducted by the district administration found the mangoes tainted with formalin. Shahidul Alam, deputy commissioner and district magistrate, led the court, according to a news agency.
