4 held with large quantity of Yaba tablets

Law enforces in separate drives arrested four alleged drug smugglers in Manikganj and Faridpur districts on Monday evening. They also recovered about 1,000 Yaba tablets from them. In Manikganj police held a drug smuggler Abul Kalam Azad at Koitara village in Sadar upazila and recovered pieces of 460 Yaba from him. Acting on secret information, a team of DB police conducted a drive at the village around 5:30 pm and arrested Azad, a resident of East Rasulpur area under Kamrangirchar Police Station in Dhaka city. The detectives recovered the sex stimulating tablets from him. In Faridpur, Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) personnel held three drug dealers in possession of 560 Yaba tablets from Sayedpur Bazar in Boalmari upazila of the district. The arrestees are Imrul Hasan Masud, 32, Ohid Sheikh Ripon, 33, and Selimuzzaman Suman, 35, – all residents of the upazila. Acting on secret information, a Rab-8 team conducted a drive in Sayedpur Bazar area and arrested the trio along with the contraband drugs, according to UNB.
