4 held with Yaba, hemp in Laxmipur

Police in separate drives arrested four alleged drug peddlers, including a woman, along with 1,000 pieces of Yaba tablet and three kilograms of hemp from Tumchar and Palli Bidyut area in Sadar upazila of Laxmipur district on Friday. The arrestees were identified as Kobita, Anwar Hossain, Abdur Rahim and Liton Hossain. Abdullah Al Mamun, officer-in-charge of Sadar Police Station said, tipped off police conducted in separate drives in the areas and arrested the four. Later, the law enforcers also recovered 1, 000 pieces of Yaba tablet and three kilograms of hemp from their possessions. The arrestees were wanted in several cases with different police stations, including Sadar police station, the OC added, according to a news agency.
