Another report adds: Four persons including a shrimp trader were killed in separate incidents in Khulna Sunday night.
Police and local sources said Dulal Mondol (30), a shrimp trader, was shot dead by some miscreants in the Lata Bazaar area of Paikgachha Upazila of the district Sunday night at about 8:30 pm. The miscreants were caught by the mob near Kathamary bazaar, 5 kilometers away from the killing spot and the villagers gheraoed them and beat them. At one stage, two terrorists died on the spot. The terrorists were not identified immediately. On information local thana police rushed to the spot and controlled the mob. Police recovered two foreign-made pistol, one Chinese axe and 20 rounds of bullet from the spot. Police also recovered the bodies and sent them to hospital morgue for autopsy.
Meanwhile, Bappi (16), a student of class nine, was beaten to death by the miscreants at the Peoples Jute Mill ground of Khalishpur industrial area Sunday night at 9pm.
Police said that Bappi was beaten by his friends at the Peoples Jute Mill ground at about 8:45pm. He was rushed to Khulna Medical College Hospital where the on-duty doctor declared him dead.
