4 killed, 20 injured as train hits bus

At least four people were killed and 20 others injured in a collision between a train and a passenger bus in Chandgaon in Chittagong city on Tuesday morning. Locals said the accident took place at a level crossing in Chandgoan Police Station area around 8:00 am. Police and locals said a passenger train bound for the port city rammed a bus carrying garment workers and other office goers as the bus was crossing the railway tracks defying signal. At least four bus passengers were killed and 20 others injured with many critically. The identities of the deceased and injured could not be known immediately. Most of the injured were rushed to Chittagong Medical College Hospital. The number of causalities may rise in the incident, according to a news agency.
