4 killed as train hits human-hauler

Four people were killed and three others injured as a train rammed a human-hauler at a level-crossing near Bhelurpara rail station in Sonatola upazila in Bogra on Thursday. The deceased were identified as Nayeb Ali, 40, Sarwar Hossain, 48, of Gar Chaitanya village of the upazila, human-hauler driver Alam, 36 and Abu Taher, 30 of Kabilpur village of the upazila. Witnesses said the Dinajpur bound Dolonchapa Express train from Santahar hit the human-hauler, locally known as Bhatbhati, at the unmanned level crossing when some cattle traders were going to a local cattle market, leaving three people dead on the spot. One of the injured died on way to hospital. Two of the injured were admitted to Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital. Police recovered the bodies, according to UNB.
