4 killed in C\\\'nawabganj road crash

At least four people were killed and seven others injured in road accident at Shibganj upazila in Chapainawabganj district on Tuesday night. Three of the deceased were identified as Rhidoy, 26, of Lakherajpara of the district town, Arif, 35, of Chhatrajitpur and Russell of Rasulpur of Shibganj. Police and hospital sources said a wheat-laden truck collided head-on with a human-hauler (Leguna) on the Chapainawabganj-Sonamosjid Highway at Beltala around 10:00pm, leaving human hauler passenger Arif dead on the spot and 10 others injured. The injured were rushed to Chapainawabganj Sadar Hospital where doctors declared two people, including Rhidoy, dead. Of the injured, five people, including Russell, were shifted to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital (RMCH) as their condition deteriorated. Russell died at RMCH early Wednesday, according to a news agency.
