4 killed in Ctg gas cylinder blast

At least four people, including women and children, were killed and five others injured in a gas cylinder explosion in a microbus at Fatikchhari upazila in Chittagong district on Monday. Three of the deceased were identified as Parveen Aktar, Senowara and Selina Begum. Identity of the other deceased and the injured could not be known immediately. Police quoting witnesses said the microbus was heading towards Aminbazar in Fatikchhari upazila from Shah Amanat (RA) Airport in the port city at noon with a Dubai expatriate and his 13 relatives, including women and children. As the microbus reached Tekbazar its gas cylinder exploded with a big bang leaving four inmates dead on the spot and five others injured, one of them critically. The injured were rushed to Chittagong Medical College Hospital, according to a news agency.
