4 killed in separate road accidents

BHOLA, Feb 17 (UNB):Two people, including a minor school boy, were killed in separate road accidents in Bhola Wednesday.
Police said the school boy was run over and killed by a battery driven auto-rickshaw at Bankerhat bazar in Sadar Upazila at about 11am while he was crossing the road.
The deceased was identified as Rashed (7), student of class II of Char Bheduria registered primary school and son of M Jahangir of Bheduria village.
In another incident, a day labourer was killed in another accident near Hariganj bazar in Lalmohon Upazila in the afternoon.
The deceased was identified as M Arif (18), son of Abdul Aziz of village Bahadur Choumuhani in the same Upazila.
Police and witnesses said a truck ran over Arif while he was returning home from the bazar by a bicycle leaving him critical injured at about 4pm.
He was admitted to the Lalmohon Upazila Health Complex where he succumbed to his injuries at about 5pm.
Separate cases were filed with the police.
Another report adds: Two people were killed and another was injured in separate road accidents in Chittagong and Sunamganj Wednesday.
In Chittagong, Sheikh Mohammad Jamil (33), senior officer of LR Trading of Dhaka, was killed and Mohammad Arif injured critically when hit by a private car near Agrabad fire station in the cityTuesday night.
Police said Jamil, resident of Khilgaon in capital, came here for receiving a consignment of electronic equipment of his company from Chittagong port.
Sunamganj Correspondent said: Foisal Mia (16), son of Julhas Mia of Tahirpur Upazila, died on the spot as a goods-laden truck hit him on Barochara customs station road in Tahirpur Upazila Wednesday morning.
