4 killed in seperate road accidents

MYMENSINGH, Oct 25 (BSS): Two people were killed in a road accident at Godaria on Mymensingh-Sherpur road under Phulpur upazila in Mymensingh today (Tuesday). Eyewitnesses said that the accident took place when a Sherpur bound pick-up van from Phulpur collided head on with an ice cream van coming from opposite direction this morning. A case was filed with concerned police station in this connection. UNB reports: A sexagenarian man was killed in a road accident at Baroibari on Jhalakati-Rajapur highway on Monday morning. Identity of the deceased could not be known immediately. Police said the man was crushed under the wheels of a speeding Rajapur bound motorbike while walking on the road. On information, police recovered the body and sent to hospital morgue. Another UNB report says: A man was killed and 15 others were injured as a bus overturned at Alutila in Sadar upazila in Khagrachhari Tuesday. The identity of the deceased could not be known immediately. Of the injured, 12 were admitted to Sadar Hospital. Police said the accident occurred at 9:30am when a district bound bus from Feni crashed into a hill as its driver lost control over the steering, killing a passenger on the spot and injuring 15 others. Later, police with the help of fire service personnel rescued all the victims.
