4 promoted to MDs of state-owned banks

In a major change in the state-owned banking administrations, the government has promoted four deputy managing directors (DMDs) to the posts of managing director (MD) to bring dynamism in the sector.
The Ministry of Finance issued the order in this connection Sunday directing authorities of the banks concerned to make these promotions effective immediately, officials said.
Humayun Kabir, DMD of the Sonali Bank Limited, has been promoted to the post of MD of the Karmosangsthan Bank while DMD of the Janata Bank Limited Mizanur Rahman has already joined as MD of the Bangladesh Shilpa Bank.
Bangladesh Krishi Bank (BKB) DMDs M Fazlul Haque and Nurul Huda Chowdhury have been promoted to the posts of MD of the Rajshahi Krishi Unnayan Bank (RKUB) and Ansar-VDP Unnayan Bank respectively.
