40 BCG members awarded

Forty officers and sailors of Bangladesh Coast Guard (BCG) have been awarded in recognition of their professional excellence and courageous role in anti-crime operations last year. State Minister for Home Assaduzzaman Khan formally distributed medals among the recipients at a function marking the 19th ‘Coast Guard Day 2014’ at its Agargaon headquarters in the city on Friday. Senior Secretary to the Home Ministry CQK Mustaq Ahmed was also present as a special guest. Ten officers and sailors were given Bangladesh Coast Guard Padak while 10 others President Coast Guard Padak, 10 more Bangladesh Coast Guard Padak (Service) and the rest 10 officers and sailors were given President Coast Guard (Service) , according to a news agency.
