40 bombs recovered in Patuakhali

Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) personnel recovered 40 powerful bombs in Patuakhali Sadar Upazila on Friday night. Tipped off, a Rab-8 team conducted a drive at Shiali Bazar around 10:30pm and recovered the unattended bombs from a shop, said Lt Commander Faizul Islam Mandal, deputy director of Rab-8. The miscreants, however, managed to flee sensing the presence of the elite force. The bombs were handed over to Sadar Police Station, he added, according to a news agency.
