40,000 Yaba seized: 4 held

Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) personnel recovered 40,000 pieces of Yaba tablet in Naf River in Teknaf Upazila in Cox’s Bazar district on Thursday night. The border force also arrested four people, including three Myanmarese nationals, in this connection. The arrested are three Myanmarese-- Mohammad Rafique, 22, Nurul Islam, 30, and Ismail, 25, – and Mohammad Ismail, 27, a resident of Uttar Chowdhurypara of Teknaf Upazila headquarters. A patrol team of 42 BGB Battalion noticed some people coming on a boat from Myanmar and the boat went back after they got down on the bank of Naf River in Jailyapara around 11.00pm. Later the BGB challenged them and arrested the four, including the three Myanmarese. They recovered 40,000 Yaba from them, according to private TV channels.
