40,000 Yaba seized in Cox\\\'s Bazar

Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) seized 40,000 Yaba tablets from Notun Transit Ghat area of the Naf river in Teknaf upazila of Cox’s Bazar district early Thursday. Acting on secret information, a team of BGB conducted a drive in the area around 4am and seized 40,000 pieces of the contraband pill from the area, which were being smuggled into the country from Myanmar. Sensing presence of the BGB men, the smugglers fled the scene. Lieutenant Colonel Abu Jar Al Zahid, commanding officer of BGB-42, confirmed the incident, according to a news agency.
