41-member panel for BMCCC polls announced

A 41-member panel for the first ever direct election of the Bangladesh Muktijoddha Central Command Council (BMCCC) led by Principal Abdul Ahad Chowdhury was announced Friday, reports UNB.
Mr Chowdhury, who is vying for the post of the Chairman of the central command, announced the names of other candidates of his panel at a press briefing at the Jatiya Press Club auditorium.
The other office bearers of the panel are: Vice-chairmen- Khan Mohammad Belayet Hossain, Harunur Rashid, Alhaj Abul Hashem, Sharif M Afjal Hossain, Anwar Hossain Bhuyian and Mohammad Kaikobad.
Secretray General (administration) Mohiuddin Ahmed, Secretray General (Finance and Planning)-KM Khandkar Modacher and Secretray General (Welfare and Rehabilitation) Major (Retd) Wakar Hasan, Bir Protik.
Joint Secretaries General-Alexander Roderick, Abdul Malek Moni and ABM Nawsher Alam.
Organising secretary - Syed Shahjahan Ali Chowdhury, assistant organizing secretaries- Kazi Abdul Haq, ABM Nurul Bahar, Mohammad Bakhtiar Rahman and Mosharraf Hossain.
Members of the secretariat AK Md Zahurul Haq, Nuruzzaman Sarkar, Salimullah Selim, Abu Naser Wahid, Abdul Gaffer Ali, Sohrab Hossain, AFM Shahjadul Islam Babu, ANM Giasuddin, Khalequr Rahman, Swapan Dasgupta, Anwar Hossain Majumder, Meherunnessa Mary, Ulfat Ali Sarkar, Amir Hossain Molla and Mohammad Abdus Salam.
Executive members-Abdul Malek Mia, Abdul Majed Chowdhury, Enayet Hossain, Enamul Kabir, Shahidur Rahman, Azizul Islam Bhuyian and Shamsul Haq.
While introducing the members of his panel, Mr Chowdhury said that his group would devote for translating into reality the ideals and spirit of the War of Liberation in its true perspectives.
