449 hospitalised with dengue, no death in 24 hrs

A total of 449 patients with dengue were admitted to hospitals across the country on Friday, taking the total cases to 17,831, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
The death toll from the mosquito-borne fever was still at 93, as no death case was reported in the period.
Most hospitals could not provide their dengue data to the DGHS, as Friday was a weekend, said the DGHS, adding that it would adjust the data on Saturday.
Of the total hospitalisation, 184 people were in Dhaka, while the rest were admitted across the country. A total of 4,220 people were being treated in various public and private hospitals. Of them, 2,755 were from Dhaka.
A total of 17,831 dengue patients have taken treatment in hospitals since January till date. Of them, 11,941 were from Dhaka.
Of the total admitted, 13,518 patients made recovery and returned home, of whom, 9,112 were from Dhaka, added the DGHS.
