45 female MPs sworn-in

The newly-elected Members of Parliament (MPs) from the reserved women seats were sworn-in at the oath-room of the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban Sunday. Speaker M Advocate Abdul Hamid administered the oath to the 45 female lawmakers from Awami League, BNP and Jatiya Party, a parliament press release said. Of the 45 women lawmakers, 36 are from the ruling Awami League, four from the JP of HM Ershad and five from the main opposition BNP.
