45 school buildings constructed in Jamalpur

JAMALPUR, Sept 19 (BSS): Education Engineering Department (EED) has constructed 45 high school buildings in the district.
Under the 'Development of Selected Non-government High School Project' the EED constructed the buildings spending Tk 245.4 million (Tk 24 crore 54 lakh).
According to EED office, a single-storey building with a four-storey foundation was constructed in each school.
Each one of the buildings has three class rooms, one toilet block including a toilet for disabled students and electric and water supply facilities.
Under the project, 25 school buildings in the first phase and 20 school buildings in the second phase have been constructed.
The school buildings constructed are 10 in sadar, 3 in Dewanganj, 4 in Melandah, 5 in Bakshiganj, 8 in Sarishabari, 7 in Madarganj and 8 in Islampur upazilas of the district.
