4,500 Yaba tablets recovered: 2 held

Police arrested two alleged drug traders along with 4,500 pieces of Yaba tablets at Kalamia Bazar under Bakalia Police Station in Chittagong on Friday. The arrested were Md Shah Alam, 30, hailing from Ukhia Upazila of Cox’s Baza and Imam Hossain, of Teknaf Upazila of Cox’s Bazar. Being informed, a police team halted a covered van near Madina Club at Kalamia Bazar around 8:00m and recovered the contraband tablets from the vehicle. They also arrested the two men for their involvement in drug trading, officer-in-charge of Bakalia police station Md Mohsin said, according to a news agency.
