4,501 UISCs to be opened tomorrow

A new horizon is being opened up in the country's development and progress tomorrow (Thursday) as all 4,501 unions are going to be connected with the information super highway, ushering in a new hope of building Digital Bangladesh, reports BSS.
"The Prime Minister (PM) is expected to inaugurate the 4,501 union information service centres (UISCs) from her office at 11 am on November 11 through video conferencing," said Md Nazrul Islam Khan, National Project Director of the UNDP-funded Access to Information (A2I) Programme under the Prime Minister's Office (PMO).
The opening function would be aired through multimedia projectors from 4,501 UPs simultaneously, he added.
