4.5m registered as fresh voters

As part of the ongoing countrywide update of electoral rolls, the Election Commission has so far registered more than 4.5 million (45 lakh) people as fresh voters in 511 out of the 514 upazilas and thanas across the country. With just 3 of its upazila/thana level offices left to report, the EC has nearly completed its task of updating the voter list. — UNB
