46,946 to perform Hajj this year

A total of 5,581 pilgrims out of 46,946 will perform Hajj this year under government management and 41,365 under private management through 232 Hajj agencies. A meeting of the Council of Advisers was informed about it Sunday by the Religious Affairs Ministry through a presentation on the management of Hajj 2007 at the CA's office. Chief Adviser Fakhruddin Ahmed chaired the meeting. The government has rented 75 houses in Makkah and 16 in Madinah. — UNB
