47 Malaysia-bound people rescued

COX'S BAZAR, Mar 23: Members of Bangladesh Coast Guard and police in separate drives rescued 47 people and arrested seven brokers in Teknaf and Maheshkhali upazilas Monday, foiling their bid to go to Malaysia. The coast guard members also arrested an alleged human trafficker -- Syed Alam, son of late Kamal Uddin of Ukhia upazila -- during the drive. — UNB
