48,227 BD Hajj pilgrims reach Saudi Arabia

A total of 48,227 Bangladeshi Hajj pilgrims have so far reached Saudi Arabia on 123 flights. A total of 78,500 Bangladeshis are scheduled to perform Hajj this year. Of them, 4,565 pilgrims will go under government management, while 73,935 will go under private arrangements.
A total of 660 agencies are managing Hajj operations under private management.
Director of Hajj Office Md Lokman Hossain has said 123 Hajj flights have landed in Jeddah by 10:00 am on Thursday.
Meanwhile, 10 Bangladeshi pilgrims have died of natural causes so far. Among them, eight are men and two are women. Saudi medical teams have provided treatment to 15,814 pilgrims, while the IT Helpdesk have offered medical services to 11,955 pilgrims till Wednesday.
