4,926 seats up for grabs at CU

CHATTOGRAM, Sept 11: A total of 4,226 seats are available for honours first year students at the Chittagong University. The online admission process for the academic year 2019-20 at the CU began on Sunday.
Acting Vice Chancellor of CU Professor Dr Shirin Akter inaugurated the procedure as the chief guest on its campus.
The admission seekers will have the scope to apply online and pay the admission fees until midnight of October 01.
There are 48 departments and five institutes under nine faculties of the university.
Every students will have to pay Tk 475.00 as application fees.
The students who obtained GPA 7.5 in SSC and HSC examinations can apply for seats under the four faculties of Unit A. GPA 7.0 in SSC and HSC examinations are required for 13 departments under Unit B and GPA 7.5 in SSC and HSC examinations for Unit C.
The Unit D is open to students of all disciplines including science, arts and commerce.
The students who obtained GPA 7.0 in SSC and HSC examinations can apply for seats under this unit.
The admission tests will be held on October 27 (Unit B), October 28 (Unit D), October 29 (Unit A), October 30 (Unit C) and October 31 (B1 and D1 units).
