49th convocation of DU on Jan 13

The 49th convocation ceremony of Dhaka University (DU) will be held at the university's central playground on January 13 next.
Director General of World Intellectual Property Organisation (WIPO) Prof Francis Gurry will deliver his speech as the convocation speaker, a DU media release said Wednesday.
Australian national Mr Gurry is also Secretary-General of the International Union for the Protection of New Varieties of Plants (UPOV).
President Abdul Hamid, also chancellor of the university, will preside over the graduation ceremony of the country's leading public university.
