5-day CTO Forum begins in city today

The 54th council and 5-day-long annual forum of Commonwealth Telecommunication Organisation (CTO) starts in Dhaka this (Monday) morning. Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) is hosting the event, which is one of the most prestigious summit of telecommunication, known as CTO forum. The theme of this year’s forum is ‘ICTs for Development – from Access to Inclusive and Innovative Services.’ The main focusing issue of the event will share knowledge. Besides, there will be organised seminars on the issues of innovation in mobile technology, e-commerce, outsourcing, value added services, data revolution, big data etc. The Telecommunication and Information Technology Ministers, Secretaries, Regulatory Commission head and other related officials in the sector will attend the forum, according to a news agency.
