Sharmin has gathered volumes to speak how to go around branding one's homespun products to outer world. Proprietor of Dhrupodi Fashions, a boutique house based in the capital for women, she participated in the 8th Asian International Trade Expo 2014 for spreading her fashion-brand name to a numerous customers. She had known about this fair while attending another one last year. Participation in such expositions helps her in making her company known to the world.
Like Sharmin Sultana, a zonal sales manager of Rahimafrooz Distribution Ltd also participated in the fair to display their electronic product range to the customers. They had taken part in the same fair four years back. He does not expect a bumper sale in the fair rather a promotion of the company products.
Senior sales executive of Nitol Electronics Rokibul Islam, however, wants to display the newly-launched electronic products imported from Taiwan and China to the Bangladeshi buyers.
Pran RFL has participated to display their new plastic and melamine product lines that they wish to make popular through the fair. One of their shop managers claims they have 5000 plastic and melamine products.
Thus, a five-day international trade fair began Wednesday at Bangabandhu International Conference Centre in the city aiming to enhance regional trade.
About 102 companies from 10 countries are participating in the fair, which will end on 22 June. Conference and Exhibition Management Services Ltd (CEMS) has organized the fair. CEMS Bangladesh managing director Meherun Islam inaugurated the show. It remain open from 11:00 am till 9:00 pm.
The exhibitors will display consumer electronics, communications technology, machinery, food and beverage, healthcare products and services, personal care and beauty products, household goods, fashion and accessories, arts and crafts, interior decorators, motor cars, and many more.
