5 flyovers to be built in Ctg, PM to lay foundation today

CHITTAGONG, 01: In a bid to ease traffic congestion Chittagong Development Authority is going to start construction of a flyover on the Bahaddarhat intersection of the longest city road CDA Avenue at the entrance of Chittagong-Cox's Bazar Road. It will be the first ever overpass for vehicular traffic of the city dwellers.
It is a part of the five flyover construction project the CDA has undertaken at the estimated cost of Tk 2600 million (260 crores) to be financed wholly by the CDA.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will formally inaugurate construction of all the five flyovers by laying foundation of the flyover at Bahaddarhat on Saturday afternoon.
