5 HC judges take oath Thursday

Three days after their appointment, five High Court Judges are going to take oath of office on Thursday. Chief Justice M Muzzammel Hossain will administer the oath at 10:30 am at the auditorium of the Supreme Court annex building, SC Registrar AKM Shamsul Islam said on Wednesday. The judges are Ashish Ranjan Das, Mahmudul Hoque, Mohammad Badruzzaman, Zafar Ahmed and Kazi Ejarul Haque Akondo. In consultation with the Chief Justice, the President on June 9 regularised five out of six additional judges of the High Court Division on completion of their two-year judicial service, leaving out ABM Altaf Hossain, who had taken oath of office together on June 13, 2012, according to UNB.
